Thanks Ben, I appreciate the compliments from all of our Bronco brothers. I just wish it went as fast as it does in my head...

I got the doors hung back on the tub yesterday and have a little massaging to do on 2 edges where I got a little carried away rolling the skin edges and knocked it a little out of alignment. Nothing a few minutes with a hammer and dolly won't correct but overall I am very happy how they turned out. The overall fit and finish is excellent and it is nice to have the doors checked off the list and have them solid and sealed. Honestly I would have to recommend skins to anyone doing a full on restoration that plans on keeping it, even if yours are good unless you get them chemically stripped and cleaned, there is no real way to get into the vast cavity to get any rust our and do some proper rust prevention. After doing one and without having to do any repairs, I think I could pull a skin and replace it in under an hour minus blasting the inside clean, pickling the metal and sealing with epoxy.

I will try to bust some porn out tomorrow for ya. I also have to mention that a certain someone on here gave me one heck of a gift and I also got the new hinges in to get it mocked into place. This might even call for a little hot video walk-around action....

That looks awesome Tom. That thing is going to be a real jewel when youre done. I hate I sort of lost touch with everybody and haven't made it over to see it in person. If you need an extra set of hands just PM me and ill run over after work some day.

You can come by any day you would like. I am trying to wrap up the little things, finish grinding spot welds, fill holes I will not be using, tweak doors how they fit, fender and now grill fitment etc. as well as cut it.... then I have just the hard top to work on to get the body into the body finish and painting. I have not even started on the running gear but that is in the very near future.

I have found the part I am not enjoying in my build. Door fitment. The slightest move can make it look so good or so horribly bad. I have spent several hours just on the pass door today and had to get away from it. I need it as close as it can get so I can start the body work for paint. Then I will pull it all apart to paint and have to go through all of this one more time but then on egg shells as it will be painted. Not having fun with this part.

Tom, I would not worry about fitting it very much til you have it on the final frame, cause like you said every little movement creates 2 more!!!
Just saying!!!;D;D;D

Thanks Ben. I am probably being more strict with fitment than what they were ever intended to be from the factory but I have to see it close for blocking and sanding so everything blends and fits. It's just a frustrating tedious process.

Some progress pics of the day:

I hear you on that! The hinges have so much movement that it is really tough to get them perfect. I went rounds with mine and even noticed differences swapping hinges from top to bottom .... Who knows? I got mine close enough to proceed but will wrestle it one more time when i do my final body prep prior to paint. Before painting i am planning to drill a couple alignment holes to help get them back to the same spot.
