Ford Bronco, 66-77 Author: R.M. Clarke Published: December 1999 by Brooklands Book Ltd Description: A collection of over 40 vintage magazine articles written about Broncos when they were new. It includes road tests, comparison tests and more from publications like Motor Trend, Four Wheeler and Car and Driver.
Although the book is good, I give it a 5 star rating partially because it's essentially the only book produced to date specifically on 66-77 Broncos. This isn't a technical or repair guide, but more of a history book; a look back in time to when the Bronco was fresh on the market and the magazines were putting it through it's paces. Some of the more interesting articles are the comparison tests between other makes like the Blazer, Scout and Jeep.
This book is one of the staples that belongs in any Bronco owner's collection.
If you are a Broncoholic, this is a great book. It's a mix of history, general information in addition to automotive reviews that will make you wish there was a time machine where you could go back and purchase a full-option Bronco for $4,000. Buy this book ... you will read it again and again, even after memorizing every page.
a great pure bronco book. my wife actually bought mine for me! has a number of neat early pictures and information. a must have for a true bronco fan. the magazine stnd offs are fun to read along with the articles.
